CPM-3V is a powder metallurgical steel, with incredible edge retention and a hardness of 61±1 HRC. These properties of powder metallurgical carbon steel were achieved, among other things, by a precisely tuned chromium content of 7.5%.

The broad point universal blade with high saber sharpening has always been the hunter's preferred shape for large and small game and is also suitable for both fine tasks like feathering sticks and tough tasks like the obligatory baton. The tang is continuous and protrudes a few millimeters from the end of the handle. With 90° sharp edges on both sides to generate sparks with the included fire starter. TPE (thermoplastic elastomer) was chosen as the handle material, which provides a good grip in any direction of the load. TPE is resistant, elastic, non-slip and has low thermal conductivity. The knife remains secure in the hand in all weather and working conditions and does not draw strength from the fingers in wet and cold conditions.
The knife includes a leather sheath to protect it with a high or low carrying strap. In addition, the knife is equipped with a 9.3 cm metal match/fire starter from the market leader Light My Fire, which can be accommodated in a wide, tight-fitting leather loop that is firmly integrated into the edging. This makes the Böker BRONCO a compact, versatile and all-round wilderness and survival tool that can handle any situation.
